Phoenixville Roper Romp is a joyful, self-directed, one-day celebration inspired by the iconic caftan-clad Mrs. Roper. Dress up, say Hi, Helen!, explore downtown at your own pace, support local businesses, and gather with the whole community for the annual group photo.

Saturday, September 19, 2026. Activities take place throughout the day, and you can romp at your own pace.
Where and when is the annual group photo?
At 6:00 p.m. sharp in front of the Colonial Theatre in downtown Phoenixville. Please arrive early so you do not miss it.
Do I need a ticket for the Roper Romp?
The community-wide romp is self-directed. Individual activities, including Ann's Heart bingo, may require separate tickets or have venue-specific rules.
What should I wear?
Think colorful caftans or muumuus, a curly red wig, oversized glasses, chunky jewelry, and comfortable walking shoes. Creativity is encouraged.
Is this an organized bar crawl?
The event is an at-your-own-pace downtown celebration. Each participating business sets its own hours, specials, admission policies, and age requirements.
How should I plan for a safe day?
Eat, hydrate, pace yourself, follow every venue's rules, and arrange a designated driver, rideshare, or other safe transportation if you drink.
